Default rightclick/copy stats of items

In the inventory screen there should be an option for you to (rightclick?) copy the stats of certain items. This would be easy for people that want to trade items.

Big advantage(s) of this options would be:
- Much faster to show someone the stats of your weapons
- Stats always look the same, so no more bad explanations like "WTS-Gold Item /dmg 11-22+UBER(!!!!)Bonusses"
- Stats would always fit in the chat-window (considering maximum length of chat)

That is another problem that is already accuring rightnow and I dont think it has anything to do with this option. People that trade should trade in the 'trade' chat. But offcourse they dont. What can you do?

I actually think that if u make the stats a bit more compact and always in the same format, it wouldn't bother me as much as it does now. Cause people that wanna sell write down the stupidest things most often.

Good idea, perhaps then trading would be a little bit less chaotic, also seperate channels for selling and buying would help as i prefer to watch what people are buying then sell to them without the need for spamming like a noob.

Exactly what I mean with this!

Not sure about that. Maybe this would be an overkill on information. Till now one trading screen would work just fine, if people would use only this one and not the local chat-window.

This has got nothing to do with making it easier for traders to spam the 'local' window. As I was saying, this is a problem that has got nothing to do with my idea. It would be nice if Arenanet could find a way to stop people from beeing able to trade (spam) in the 'local' window, but I think that this will be really hard withouth the inteference of real people/admins.

U can't walk away from the fact that trading is a big part of guildwars. Therefore Arenanet should provide the right tools for this. The start is there with an actual window to trade in and now all the game needs is an easy and quick way to show the stats of the items you want to sell.

NOTE:
Please stop spamming this topic with the fact that people will spam the 'local' window with this, cause they allready do this anyway. And my idea will not make this any worse. I am just saying that this would be a good idea 'if used in the trade window' as it was intended in the game. Thank you.

Why not let ANet build the trading halls and keep the trading there? Prevent trading from happening in towns and move it to trading halls... Otherwis I agree that there should be an easier way to show people what you're trading.
As I posted earlier http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=81762

/agree

There have been a lot of posts about this, so this is a duplicate thread IMHO. Also, I'd rather have an item link that we can copy over to the trade channel that I can just click on to check out the item personally. I guess it's 6 one way, half a dozen the other though...

Yeah, sorry for the re-post. I didn't find anything in the index, so I thought I could still propose this.

Thing with 'trading halls' sounds very cool, but how would you prevent people from trading in other parts of the game? That still seems impossible to me withouth the inteference of admins/real people.

So what we have till now is the following:
- Drag and drop items into chat to put the specs of items in text
- Add a 'Hall of Trading' where people can sell and buy mechandise
- Splitting up the trade chat into two different windows, sell and buy
Any other ideas involving trade options? Or comments on these ideas?
